Base Additives

For optimal finishes, especially in metallic and pearlescent shades, the 500 Series colors are always used in combination with the following additives:

· De Beer MM 577
· De Beer MM 588
· De Beer MM 5091 (Flop control additive to adjust metallic orientation and ensure maximum color accuracy)

Components: This transparent color base is used with the following Uni Thinners to achieve maximum performance:

· 1-141 Uni Thinner Fast
· 1-151 Uni Thinner Medium
· 1-161 Uni Thinner Slow
· 1-181 Uni Thinner Ultra Slow

Physical properties

Its chemical composition is based on physical drying resins. The RTS viscosity is 15-17 Dincup 4/20°C and its specific weight is 0.926 kg/l, with 12% solids by volume.

Instructions for a perfect finish
For a flawless result, the surface must be properly prepared: clean with 1-951 Silicone Remover and sanded with P400 grit or finer. Application is done in 2-3 coats of 15-25 µm. For effect colors, a final spray coat is recommended with lower air pressure (1.2-1.5 bar). Air drying at 20°C (68°F) takes 10-15 minutes to be dust-free and 15-20 minutes to be dry to handle.
