The colors of the De Beer 500 Series (BeroBase) require the use of base additives MM 577 or MM 588 in metallic and pearl shades for a uniform finish. In some colors, MM 5091 is also used to control the flop effect and ensure maximum color accuracy.
At DS COLOR a century-long legacy from De Beer translates into innovation. The MM 553 Mica White basecoat is a core component of the BeroBase 500 Series system, a refinishing solution that raises the bar for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and coaches. Physical properties
Composed of special physical drying resins, it has an RTS viscosity of 15-17 Dincup 4/20°C and a specific weight of 0.926 kg/l, with a solids by volume percentage of 12%.
Application guide for an elite finish
For a flawless result, prepare the surface by cleaning it with 1-915 Silicone Remover and sanding with P400 grit or finer. Apply 2 to 3 coats with a thickness of 15-25 µm. To achieve the best visual effect, a final spray coat with lower air pressure (1.2-1.5 bar) is recommended. Air drying at 20°C (68°F) takes 10-15 minutes to be dust-free and 15-20 minutes to be dry to handle.
