DERMAUTOLOGY FIBERGLASS PUTTY 1LT is your robust ally for repairing sheet metal with large dents and/or holes. This high-quality polyester filler, reinforced with fiberglass and with peroxide included for easy preparation, offers exceptional adhesion to any metal, providing the strength and elasticity needed to restore the structural integrity of damaged surfaces on vehicles, trailers, semi-trailers, and more.

Its advanced formulation not only ensures high hardness and good flexibility but also offers fast drying, which speeds up repair times in your workshop. Despite its robustness, this fiberglass filler is easy to sand, allowing you to shape the surface accurately to obtain a smooth and uniform finish, ready for the subsequent painting stages. Its characteristic green color facilitates product identification.

Surface Preparation

Dermautology Fiberglass Putty demonstrates excellent adhesion to various substrates. For optimal results, apply to steel and aluminum that have been previously matted and degreased. It is also suitable for galvanized steel (matted and degreased), polyester laminates (GFK/GRP), other polyester fillers, and acrylic and epoxy primers. It can even be applied to well-sanded or original varnish layers. We recommend using sandpaper with a grit between P80 and P120 to prepare the surface.

Application Method

• This fiberglass-reinforced polyester filler is especially recommended for filling large dents and holes in vehicle bodywork.

Mixing Ratio (by weight)

• Filler: 100 parts
• Hardener: 2 parts (peroxide included in the hardener)
• Thoroughly mix both components until a uniform color is obtained. Stir carefully to avoid incorporating air into the mixture.

Layer Thickness

• The filler can be applied in several thin layers. Ensure that the previous layer is completely hardened before applying the next. Do not exceed a total thickness of 5 mm.

Pot Life

• 4 to 7 minutes at 20°C. Keep in mind that temperatures below 20°C will significantly extend this time.

Hardening Time

• 20 to 30 minutes at 20°C. Temperatures below 20°C will also extend the hardening time of the product.

Subsequent Treatment

• On this fiberglass-reinforced polyester filler, you can apply other 2-component polyester fillers and 2-component spray polyester fillers.

General Recommendations

• Excessive hardener can cause whitening of the enamel! During work with two-component products, the use of personal protective equipment is recommended. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Use in well-ventilated areas and clean tools immediately after use.

Storage

• Store the product in tightly closed containers, in a dry and cool place, away from sources of fire and heat. Avoid direct sunlight. Attention!: Close the container tightly immediately after using the product and protect the hardener from heat.

Warranty Period

• GLASS FIBRE polyester Putty: 12 months from the date of manufacture. Hardener for polyester filler: 18 months from the date of manufacture.
